Wednesday: As suggested by Monday’s quiz, I’m always interested in the guy who goes second, who usually gets a lot less attention than the guy who goes first (Buzz Aldrin being a rare exception). Yesterday we had the first black man to pitch for the Yankees, today we have the second. He played only two years in New York, was basically effective the first year, basically less so the second.
