Just another thought about the Starting staff. With Cortes going tonight, if he doesn't clean up how he pitches on the road, does he become a road bullpen piece? I mean 1.02 vs. 6.75 is a split you can't ignore, even worse than Sonny Gray's reverse splits all those years ago of his 3.51 ERA road vs. over 7.00 ERA at YS.

I agree that Cortes needs to find a way to get better pitching on the road.

Paul, let me ask you, who did you toot for in the 1986 WS between the Red Sox and the Mets? I remember begging my parents for me not to go to school the day after the Rangers lost another playoff series to the Islanders.

Cashman has to be very careful with the trades he will make to improve the ball club, after what he did in 2022. But essentially the Yankees could easily upgrade 5 or 6 of the 8 man pen. But Cashman is counting on both Effross & Trivino to be 2 of the arms. But he and his gang aren't doing anything really to keep the kids an option. Marianaccio (who IMO they have never trusted),…

I don’t think it works when a lot of the teams do not put the monies received back into the teams instead of their pockets

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
