The Yankees should NOT trade for a starter at the trade deadline. They have 5 excellent starters now, and when Cole returns, they will have 6. In the post season, teams often go with a 3 man or 4 man rotation, so 1 or 2 more starters won't be in the rotation in the post season. I would like to see the Yankees upgrade in the bullpen and at 3B. DJ and Oswaldo are great backup utility infielders, both of whom can play every day if necessary. But with Jon Berti, who I also view as a backup, gone for a long stretch, a solid everyday 3B is needed.
