having acquired Juan Soto
and being desirous of finding at ABs for both Soto and Stanton
means putting Soto in the outfield
in Yankee Stadium
there's but one corner in which to try to minimize Soto's substandard defense
and so Judge must necessarily cede that corner to Soto
and move to the middle.
As for Stanton, he is already going to lose lose ABs because Judge should be the DH once a week while he is the CF.
Stanton's roster spot to me, is safe until about the ASB, when Dominguez, THE STAR KID is ready to be on the active roster. No matter what Pereira does in SWB, I don't think he is big enough to bump Stanton off the roster. Oh, and I want Pereira to play CF 4 or 5 times during a 6 game series in AAA, then literally split CF with Dominguez. I'm still of the belief that Pereira gets moved at the trade deadline.
