"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.
Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."

I've said several times that the Yankees will get Soto for a bunch of reasons, but the big one being even with the Yankees C Package, that package will be significantly better than what anyone else could offer them. So with that in mind, my primary lineup (like Trevino is the catcher when Cole pitches) until Dominguez is healthy:
LeMahieu, 3B
Soto, LF
Judge, RF
Rizzo, 1B
Torres, 2B
Wells, C
Stanton, DH
Volpe, SS
Florial, CF
An opening Day lineup, Trevino is the catcher, and I can see Cabrera hitting 8th, playing RF with Judge in CF. If Cabrera in RF, to me, that is an edict from Cashman, who at least on OD doesn't want to see Florial…
I just listened to the MLB Trade Rumors Podcast and they think that Soto will command 500 million over 15 years. Four years of Robert at 67.5 million is starting to look better and better.
Thank you!
Terrific discussion this week.
I agree with you quite often Dr. Semendinger, but I think the Yankees would regret the acquisition of Lee.
Soto has been number one on my off season wish list this year, but Dr. Fagen's cogent explanation of the advantages of a Robert Luis trade was quite intriguing. Although I live near Notre Dame, smack dab in the middle of Cub and White Sox territory, I don't pay attention to either team, and was unaware that his defense was so highly regarded. He has his bumps and warts- strikeouts and poor walk rate, but he still put up 5 WAR last year.
I still prefer Soto's elite bat and on base percentage, but I hope Cashman…
