Yankee coaching since the end of the 2017 season has undergone a total change from who they get to coach, to the methods, and the philosophies. Yankees pitching for whatever gets a pass. Reasons for that are, in my opinion is, I JUST DON'T GET IT! Hitting is significantly down across baseball, so is the Yankees pitching really that good ? But as far as Volpe, Cabrera, Peraza, even Florial or Pereira, will all be better hitters in 2024 for the simple reason, anyone they hired to be the HC, including any of the regular contributors here would be better than Dillon Lawson. The bigger question at the moment in my opinion is: Why are Casey Dykes and every…

You guys are really working with a false impression of Lee. He's an extreme ground ball hitter and there are real questions whether he can adapt to MLB velocity. He's also not that fast and not a base stealing threat. His defense as a CF is also suspect and there are those who think he will have to move to a corner which, due to his lack of power, makes him a lesser player. Also, the Ichico Suzuki "4000 professional hits" thing is completely bogus. We don't count minor league hits for North American and Latin American players so Suzuki's hits in Japan don't count either.

Serious doubt about this has been raised by Mike Axisa and SSTN's Andy Singer based on analysis of Lee's batted ball profile and lack of elite foot speed. The concern is that Lee has not faced MLB level velocity and may have a lot of difficulty adapting to it. There are also concerns about whether he can remain in CF since his defense at that poistion does not profile as much…
