The injuries to the OF in 2023 was just ridiculously crazy. Even all the guys they signed to minor league deals and got called up got hurt too.
Next year's 40 man crunch is going to be ridiculous. Just naming the hitters, we have Hardman, Rumfield, Sweeney, Rice, & Durbin are all Rule 5 eligible after next year. Then you could have guys like Jared Serna & Jesus Rodriguez who will be needed to be put on the 40 man roster. But as far as injury replacements for Rizzo or Stanton, will Cashman be willing to to DFA a guy in May to make room for a guy like…
