I agree that the Yankees should sell but they won't. Even if they did I think only Bader brings back something valuable and probably not MLB-ready prospects. Severino and German might bring back something because teams always overpay for pitching but given Severino's injury history and German's lack of a strong rack record they're not going to bring back MLB-ready players. All those guys are also rentals so be prepared to be disappointed in the return.

Replying to

I wrote of this the other day.

If the Yankees stay the course, and fail again in the post season, another year will pass. The Yankees in 2024 will probably look very much like the Yankees of 2023, which looked the like the Yankees of 2022...

Plus, a host of 2023 Yanks won't be back - probably including Bader, Severino, and others. It's possible the 2024 team could be worse than the 2023 team.

I see both of those possibilities as very likely.

Each year the Yankees fail to reach the World Series, they lose one more year of Judge's prime (and Cole's). The window closes a bit more.

But, if the Yankees take a step back - see that…

"Scattering The Ashes has all the feels. Paul Russell Semendinger's debut novel taps into every emotion. You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll reexamine those relationships that give your life meaning." — Don Burke, writer at The New York Post

The Least Among Them.png

"This charming and meticulously researched book will remind you of baseball’s power to change and enrich lives far beyond the diamond."

—Jonathan Eig, New York Times best-selling author of Luckiest Man, Opening Day, and Ali: A Life

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
