The change that's needed is simple: Brian Cashman needs to be replaced as Head Baseball Guy. Everything from coaching philosophy, to medical, to scouting, to coaching, to playing comes off his vision. NOTHING, AND I MEAN NOTHING he has done is done in a cohesive manner. He picked his type of manager. He picked his type of coaches, and who he acquires or trains as players can be a whole separate megillah.

More baseball thinking less reliance on the analytics

Redo all the Developmental Program that is the farm system

Better roster construction, For example, don't purposely not do anything in the off season and relying on the trade deadline at certain positions.

If they are always looking for bullpen arms, isn't there an arm or 2 that could help by the trade deadline that you identify in Spring Training, and bring him along appropriately, like they did with Severino in 2015.
