I've been hearing some interesting rumors about the Yanks bringing back Gleyber Torres. Now stay with me for a moment. Right now we DO NOT have a leadoff hitter. Third base is also looking like a possible problem. Not sure what is happening with Arenado. St. Louis might not take Stroman off our hands and his $18million overpay. Torres has good numbers since he was put in the leadoff spot last season. If someone will sit him down and read him the riot act about professionalism, hustling at all times, and focusing on his past nonchalance in his fielding, we may have a solution if Chisholm can be the third baseman, which he probably can. Fuster: I'll reply to you the way I answered Paul. I was a bit wistful over Torres having thrown away such a great career opportunity. It's very interesting that there has been zero interest from any other clubs for his services, at least we have not heard anything. We are better off without him.

No problem moving Trevino, but then why move Carlos Narvaez to Boston? He looked, to me, like a good back up to Wells.

could be that they decided to begin the season with Rice on the 26

and that he could serve as the back-up C


could also. be that rule changes have made the team aware that the revitalized running game requires that catchers make the throw to second base.


do the Yankees still have Antonio Gomez?
