Rizzo is playing for his next contract this year. He could be very solid, and it took him extra time to get him right, but it is my opinion that he did lose something extra more than just what Father Time takes away from veteran players by playing for 2+ months post being spiked in the neck.
Torres's replacements are Berti & DJ. Cabrera's weakest defensive position by far is 2B, so he'd get extra games at 3B with DJ & Berti replacing Torres once or twice a week.
I never thought Volpe was a leadoff hitter. I see him being more like Torres, but with speed. He should be hitting 5-6-7.
Cabrera in my opinion is not an everyday…
