Overview:
The recently completed 3/5th of the Yankees season has got to be one of their worst in recent memory. Their record was 13-20 and dropped them to last in the AL East.
Aaron Judge was injured during the entire segment and the offense completely collapsed. Gleyber Torres is probably the only player who can say that he actually produced.
Anthony Rizzo and DJ LeMahieu were especially bad. Recent injuries to Josh Donaldson and Jose Trevino forced the team to call up better players from the minors.
On the pitching end, Cole has consistently been one of the league’s best and started the All-Star game.
Clarke Schmidt has emerged as one of the better pitchers in the league and Domingo German joined the immortals with his Perfect Game that immediately ranks in the top 20 Yankees moments.

A Wrap-Up 3/5th of the Way Through:
The Draft and All Star break gave us enough of a distraction from what was going on on the field. However, the dog days of August are approaching and this team, and as constructed, it doesn't look to be very fun.
I personally would like to see the team be aggressive sellers at the trade deadline and restock the farm system. Afterwards, promote the likes of Everson Pereira, Austin Wells, Edgar Barclay, Yoendrys Gomez, Danny Watson, and Andres Chaparro and see what you have.
I actually would expect that the influx of youth would improve the on field performance and if Judge returned healthy, their spot in the standings may improve. Being that they aren’t far behind in the playoff race, they could still make a run, but with a team more enjoyable to watch and with a focus on the future in mind.
Your article is a symphony of words, with each sentence and paragraph harmoniously working together to Geometry Dash create a cohesive and compelling narrative that resonates deeply with readers.
Yankees right now are selling the "illusion" of making the playoffs and maybe they will but I think you are correct .... a deep run? I don't see this team doing so! If they add a few pieces it might juice up the fan base for awhile but like you mentioned bring up the players and lets see what we have and what they can do. I doubt it would be worse than what we see now.
I am on the selling side. Bringing up the young guys could spark something … and even if they don’t and they fail to make the playoffs …potentially picking up prospects while unloading some payroll makes more sense to me than trying to patchwork their way into the playoffs.
