ProfRobert comes to our assistance and provides this week’s Baseball Card Trivia.
March 8 is the birthday of Jim Bouton, pitcher and author of Ball Four, which described the 1969 season where he was with the Seattle Pilots before being traded. In Bulldog’s honor, we present players, like Bouton, who toiled for both the Yankees and Pilots, during the latter’s one-year existence. Now, these would be easy to guess if you look at the Pilots’ roster, so no peeking there (rereading Ball Four, however, is always encouraged).

After a year in Seattle, the Pilots moved to Milwaukee and became the Brewers. What I love about this 1971 card is the typically awful Topps air-brushing of the player’s hat when he’s obviously in a Pilots uniform (why they didn’t get a photo from the 1970 season is a mystery).
