Readers' Thread: The Biggest Need

This is a simple straight forward question:


As the Yankees look to the rest oif the season, what is their one biggest need they need to address from outside the system?

The bullpen needs the most improvement. Not a good idea to rely on a bunch of guys who are all coming off of injury, as good as they may be. Better to get a great reliever or two from another organization. Mason Miller would be a great addition right now, but I am just worried about his future after this season, as I think it may include Tommy John Surgery at some point, as hard as he throws. But to win a cham[ionship here in 2024, Miller is the man to get. But whoever they get, the bullpen is top priority, since the starters are doing terrific, but can't be expected to throw complete games. So great relievers wo…

if the question is what is needed MOST, then i will try to pick ONE addition that would have the greatest positive impact


i believe this team as is could win a WS if everyone stays healthy but it would require some good fortune and a lot of the pieces performing very well at the same time


to increase the chances and give them a little bit of a cushion they need another reliable bat who can be trusted to get hits in big games. if all are healthy, there is zero room in OF, but room for improvement at 1b, 2b, 3b if they can get one good hitter for one of those spots, they can make any othe…

To stay healthy. We've seen what the offense looks like sans Soto. If he, Judge, Volpe or Verdugo are out for any protracted period, the season is doomed.
