Quick Hit: Yanks Lose 7-3

By Paul Semendinger

***

Come back tomorrow morning to read my Game Summary.

I'll share lot of thoughts on the disaster that is the 2023 Yankees.

It's time that they completely clean house. (It's been time for a long while...)

Cashman has been a disaster. Ever since he took complete control of the baseball operations in 2010, the team has been a failure. Yes, the goal posts changed from winning the world Eries to making the play offs, the team has been poorly constructed with an over reliance upon statistics. After 2010, George's crack baseball committee was disbanded and every experienced major league coach was discarded for the inexperienced college instructor. Wonder why the Yankees strike out so much, take in a game at Somerset. Every batter hits the same way, bring to elevate the angle of the swing to avoid ground balls and an open stance to pull the ball. Not Dominguez or Volpe can hit the low outside…

Is it time to let Boone run this club, including getting rid of any coaches from his staff and let him decide the lineup himself. That means no Cashman or front office interference, all analytics goes through Boone's office. Or do they sideline Cashman fully and make Sabean the interim head? Or do they call up Milwaukee to offer them something for David Stearns? Or do they reach out to Toronto for permission to talk to James Click? Is Derek Jeter interested if they dump Cashman?

"Scattering The Ashes has all the feels. Paul Russell Semendinger's debut novel taps into every emotion. You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll reexamine those relationships that give your life meaning." — Don Burke, writer at The New York Post

The Least Among Them.png

"This charming and meticulously researched book will remind you of baseball’s power to change and enrich lives far beyond the diamond."

—Jonathan Eig, New York Times best-selling author of Luckiest Man, Opening Day, and Ali: A Life

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
