not at all good to lose to a fringy Giants team


but not at all bad to mount a rally in the bottom of the 9th.


it failed ...but it was not a glass-is-entirely-empty sort of failure

They should have saved Hicks for Stanton's slot. He'd only have made one out and then given Donaldson the opportunity to fail with the tying and winning runs on base.
