The Yankees waited until late to pounce on the game and get a victory by scoring 3 runs in the 8th to win 3-2 over the Rays.

Ohtani has no leverage prior to free agency. He doesn't have no-trade protection and he doesn't have 5 and 10 rights. The Angels can trade him to any team they see fit and he can either go there or forfeit the rest of his salary for the season and damage his desirability as a free agent.

but I think the Angels will demand Dominguez. I also think other teams can match or beat it.


And the Angels can't control where Ohtani signs after they trade him. If they refuse to trade him to the Dodgers or Padres Ohtani can just play out the season and sign with whomever he wants as a free agent.…
