A good early start got to them as the Yankees bats were lulled until pretty much the end. Lost the first one in Milwaukee.

Let us pause to reflect on what an utter piece of rhymes-with-flit Frankie "Sonny" Montas is. In 8 starts, he has zero Quality Starts, 4 with Game Scores of 35 or worse, with an ERA of 6.35.


Now, I'm not even going to talk about Jordan Montgomery. Take the disaster of the Waiting for Badot trade to pay off as a given. Let's instead consider J.P. Sears who was traded for Montas. In 7 starts, he has 2 Quality Starts, 4 with Game Scores over 50. He stunk in his last two starts, leading to a poor 5.13 ERA for Oakland, which is STILL over a run better than Mountebank. But why would Cashman want a guy like th…
