Quick Hit: Yankees Lose 7-1 On Rainy Day

A tough loss on a rainy day in the Bronx. The skies were open, the winds were swirling, and the Yankees' defense was appropriately terrible. Carlos Rodon didn't pitch nearly as badly as his final line will show, but once again, the Yankee bats were largely silent until a last gasp that came up empty in the bottom of the 9th inning against the D'Backs.

Ultimately, the game probably shouldn't have been played (thanks Interleague Play!), but it will go down as a 7-1 loss anyway.

Cabrera showed again why he at least defensively a true utility player. Now, he like eveeyone else need a real hitting coach. Het rid of every analytically driven coach. Pitching too.

Florial keeps showing that they really dont need to go look for another stopgap CF while they wait for Dominguez to heal, which I expect to be right at about the ASB. And with LF a mess too, that doesn't stop me from going after a veteran OF on a 1 or 2 year contract with Jones, Hall, Medina, Mayea, coming up behind him. And Pereira is still around. Of and Pereira's K rate not as high as Judge's in 2016, similar ABs. So who's not to say …

Exactly.... Yankees will have competition but Bellinger in Yankee Stadium .... he is worth a sizeable contract!

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
