"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.
Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."

does anyone else have the same condition / problem that I do at this time of the year? EVERY day I wake up and I think is this the day the Yankees make a move, and all day long I check my phone waiting for it to say the Yankees traded for someone. It is not completely unlike being a kid at Christmas time
do any of you feel confident about even one person? you have one player / pitcher in mind that you feel very strongly the Yankees WILL do what they must to get?
I believe that Cash will make at least one move for the bullpen. I feel like that is his top priority. I really belie…
I am very pleased with the progress Austin Wells has made as a hitter. He is now showing an excellent eye for the strike zone, walks a lot now, and is having great at-bats. I can see now why he was such a great tutor for Anthony Volpe when they had their famous Chicken Parmesan dinner. Volpe hit well tonight, but if he goes into another funk, I strongly urge Wells to make another trip to the Volpe household for another Chicken Parmesan dinner so he can note the adjustments Volpe would need to make.
Hopefully, Wells will play every day now, with Trevino being a backup when he returns, so he can continue his upward trajectory as a hitter.
Soto and Judge, 6-for-8, 2 2B, 2 BB, 4 R, 1 RBI. That's a pretty good night when your 2-3 hitters slash .750/.800/1.000!
And as much as I enjoy razzing Alan, his point about Volpe needing a rest before the ASB seems borne out by his performance tonight after four days off: 2-for-4, 3 RBI, 2B. At 23, he may not get physically tired, but you have to wonder if he was mentally tired -- 90% of the game being half-mental, of course.
Cole struggled through his '6 Spring Training starts', then starting with Start #7, his 4th up here, he has been just fine.
It was good to see Volpe's batting stance was more like earlier in the season, when he was hitting. Oh yeah, he has 3 hits tonight.
How much longer until DJ starts losing playing time? And will Verdugo sit the first time the Yankees face a LHP?
Oh, tonight in Triple-A, Neely, Effross, Marianaccio, and even Victor Gonzalez looked real good tonight.
Hampton looked good too. Heck, everyone down there pitched well tonight.
Checked in a couple of times in the Cleveland feed, didn't see Paul, hope he and Ethan had a good time.
11 more games for the Yankees in July
can they win 7 of them?
