To the readers, commenters, writers, and most importantly, my Dad (who made me a Yankees fans), thanks for a great season.
Don't worry.
We're not going anywhere.
We have a LOT still to discuss.
Start Spreading the News is the place for some of the very best analysis and insight focusing primarily on the New York Yankees.
(Please note that we are not affiliated with the Yankees and that the news, perspectives, and ideas are entirely our own.)
SSTN is proudly affiliated with Wilson Sporting Goods! Check out our press release here, and support us by using the affiliate links below:
"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.
Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
We are excited to announce our new sponsorship with FOCO for all officially licensed goods!
It was a fun year of comraderie here on SSTN! Thank you to Paul and Ethan for doing great things with the Blog. Thank you to my fellow writers for being so fun to write with and for being so supportive. Thank you Andy for being a great mentor to all of us. Most of all - thank you to our readers. Without you, we wouldn't write.
The Yankees didn't wind up where we'd have liked them to be. Many of us expect a championship and they once again fell well-short, but thankfully, Baseball is only a game. Its a pastime. It's a pastime that absolutely matters to all of us, or we wouldn't be here. I hope we all…
Thank you to Paul, Ethan, all the writers and all the correspondents. While I am sickened and enraged by the Yankees, the community here is a joy. Seriously, thank you.
Thank you, Paul and everyone else that makes this site the best in the business.
I read a post by someone last night that said, Donaldson made the Sanchez trade look like a mistake. That's bad. I'd be happy to help Boone and Cashman pack and drive them to the airport...wherever they are going, I hope.
And a special thanks to Ethan for doing so many great things behind the scenes and everywhere to make this whole site function.
I'm always sad when it all ends...
Spring Training seems so far away.
Thanks to everyone. It ended with a thud, but it was fun.
I miss it all already.
