Quick Hit: Stanton Wins Game 3!

I've never believed in "clutch", but Stanton is turning me into a believer with a 3-5 day and 2 RBI's. (And the bullpen was clutch too!)

In the Yankee universe, nobody gets more negative press than Stanton, but he generally is productive in playoff scenarios .... so hats off to Big G.... in this series Stanton might carry team!

Stanton can now be called "Mr. October".

I guess for the first time, they will have to "put the tarp on the field" at Tropicana Field.

Meanwhile in St Petersburg, the Tampa Bay Rays NO LONGER play in an indoor stadium!

Good song choice.

I've always wanted the Rays to play in a retractable roof stadium, and now, they finally have one.

"Dream Weaver" was actually his "Player Appreciation Weekend" nickname, which was stitched onto his uniform at that time.

and it was their BIG deadline addition Estevez who gave up the Grand Slam. i will say i was NEVER in for Estevez and did not understand why the Phils paid such a high price. if they really wanted to go ALL IN for a top notch reliever why did they not challenge SD for Scott.

related point. plenty of relievers added at the deadline have been very good

Kopech

Erceg

Adam

Scott

Puk

those have been the top in my recollection. i would have been happy for BC to give up a LOT for any one of those. i would not have paid what SD paid for one postseason of Scott, but I do think we should make…
