So I missed today's game because I was at Citi Field watching my second-favorite New York baseball team get stomped. Maybe it's me; I'm the bad luck charm.


Anyway, I read through today's posts and comments. Hiring Maddon may not help, but how could it possibly hurt? If they hire Maddon, would they start getting no-hit every game?


It tells you something that Cabrera is batting third. He, Judge and Trevino are the only Major-League-quality hitters right now. Rizzo and Benintendi are out. Stanton has obviously not recovered from his Achilles tendon issue. DJ has obviously not recovered from his toe issue. You can't keep running them out there -- this is Butch Hobson redux.


Give Cashman/the scouts credit. Wh…
