Quick Hit: Frankie Montas - Not As Advertised

A perfect 9.0 ERA as a Yankee in 3 starts and just 14 innings of work. We traded how much for this guy? I wonder how Montgomery feels...

They should have done what was necessary to get Castillo. Yes, I mean trade Volpe. Of course, if they had signed a REAL shortstop in the off-season then Volpe would have been expendable in the first place.

Maybe Cashman will be able to package Montas up with some propspects and send him back to Oakland this winter for JP Sears! He's only pitched 10.1 innings so far for us but we love the 1.74 ERA. Kid's a legit starter!

I'm thinking that the Yankees just might be able to trade Montas and Bader to the Cardinals for Jordan Montgomery.

No, the Cards would say, "That's not enough."
