Rizzo didn't pick one, Volpe didn't throw one, Torres didn't glove one...and the Yankees lose 8-7 in 10 innings.

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.
Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."

TOTALLY UNRELATED TOPIC: I couldn't resist pointing this out. Derek Jeter and Kobe Bryant had TWIN CAREERS! This blew me away!
I came across this article about Red Sox reliever Kenley Jansen's complaint that the baseballs are slick this year and are hard to control, especially in the colder weather, and I am wondering, maybe THIS is the reason for the Yankees defensive problems right now (It was not so much an issue when the Yankees played under the roof in the warmer climates in Arizona and Houston). Especially with a guy like Anthony Rizzo who is NORMALLY a very good defensive First Baseman. Could the slicker baseballs be the culprit? Awful defense is starting to catch up with the team. Gleyber & Rizzo have both been atrocious.
Besides defense, it was also the lack of a reliable reliever after Clay Holmes. The defensive failures from earlier in the game would not have been a factor if the bullpen were at least able to hold that 2 run lead.
When does DJ come back we need a 2nd baseman
