Quick Hit: Cole Young

5 No-Hit innings to start before finishing with 8 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 9 K's. If the Cy Young isn't his now, there is clear anti-Yankee bias.

As far as tonight's game, the way Florial has played these last 10 days or so, basically every day, just proves at least to me of my thinking that Cashman & his gang of advisors need to go, or at least, get a clear mandate from ownership to change how they view their prospects/guys in the system who are getting it done. There were opportunities in CF alone, in 2021, 2022, & earlier this year, that Florial should've been given. My bigger question is, how many more real players have this group buried in the minors, and not given a chance to, but instead have given playing time to guys like Shane Robinson, Jody Mercer, Bauers, etc. Was Shane Robin…

I'm only going by what you wrote, Alan. Your lead sentences bases your conclusion on "the way Florial has played these last 10 days or so." In that time, he has played like a replacement-level player, and thus any argument based on that play is that he can be a replacement-level player. The argument that he is better than that has to be based on his minor-league performance, and that's been discussed here extensively.

There always has been an anti-Yankee bias in the AL offices, the media, the voters for the awards and for the Hall of Fame. Ted Simmons is in the Hall, but Thurman Munson isn't? Why didn't Ron Davis, Bobby Brown, Dave Righetti, or Hideki Matsui ever win the AL ROY? Or Jeter the 2006 AL MVP. No one has ever apologized out loud about voting for Altuve for the 2017 MVP. We know the MLB office is also anti Yankee. So is the MLBPA.

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
