Quick Hit: Cole Dominates, Yanks Win 6-0

Gerrit Cole put an exclamation mark on what should be a Cy Young season, shutting out the Blue Jays in a Complete Game, 2 Hit shutout. Aaron Judge paced the offense with 2 home runs,. giving Cole all of the support he needed in a 6-0 drubbing of the Blue Jays. If Cole doesn't win the Cy Young Award this year, the voting is rigged.

Cy Cole. Judge keeps pounding.

Any reason why Florial should not be the stopgap replacement for Dominguez until he's ready? Who would they sign or trade for ? I think anyone they could bring in could go to LF. I'd love to see Pereira have a Judge 2017 Spring next Spring.

they can well afford it

I would suggest that they need to bring in two this off-season

and probably would do well to send Stanton away

as far as Judge's early K rate, it was pretty much offset by his hits, walks and HRs. let's keep in mind that when he was striking out 38% of the time, he was also getting on base 42% of his ABs....and going all around the bases in nearly 10% of those ABs.

Florial aint yet doing quite as well, but he's doing well enough to be considered for a…

The Jays have just played 18 innings against the Yankees. 0 runs, 5 hits total. Yankee pitching is making the Blue Jay hitters look like, well, like Yankee hitters. If instead of 11 Ks in the two games there had been 22, I'd think it's Freaky Friday and the teams had changed bodies.
