Yes, huge win. But you can see this going either of two ways. I hope that the hideous, embarrassing loss yesterday got the team angry and woke it up. But it could also be that they just took advantage of a starter who simply didn't have it, and they'll go back to batting .100 or worse with RISP, giving away at-bats, coming up small in big situations, and losing ugly, close games. I really hope it's the former. Tomorrow should be instructive.

a win tomorrow would put paid to any mystery concerning the Yankees ending the season in 1st place in the East and beginning the play-offs with a bye.


a game where both Donaldson and Stanton get hits should also aid in throttling back the formation of any gastric ulcers.
