Quick Hit: Bad Loss

The Yankees bullpen was great, but they had zero support from the bats today when it mattered (1-6 with RISP). Time to try again on Wednesday.

Cole didn't have it and now Rodon didn't have it. I'm worried about the starting pitching. I feel like we're lucky to win game one.

The long layoff for the bye, after not pitching in the Pittsburgh series, while allowing him to be well rested, may have also had an adverse effect on him, as his rhythm was off. Now that he has pitched in this series, he will be better in his next outing. You never know which "version" of a pitcher will show up for a game, regardless of whether its a great pitcher, or a not-so-great one.

The 11-24 Yankees return! Poor start from the $162 million man. 8 LOB, 2 GIDP, 1-for-6 RISP.

If they Yankees are to win this series, they'll have to win the next two games in KC because it's obvious Rodon won't be able to beat Ragans in Game 5.
