PITCHERS AND CATCHERS REPORT THIS WEEK!
The long, cold, lonely winter is over. This is all great and wonderful news.
Baseball is back!

I started my Spring Training a few weeks ago. My next throw day is today. I'm up to 100 pitches. I'll get to 125 today. The season starts in April. I'll be very ready.
I retired from running marathons, but I have at least another season of pitching ahead of me. I can't wait.
I love standing on the pitcher's mound and giving my best against hitters, many of whom are half my age.

The SABR event at Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson last weekend was a gigantic success. As baseball fans, you don't want to miss our next live event in March at the Yogi Berra Museum. I'll be doing one of the presentations that day on The Least Among Them.
Come and say hello and enjoy a great day at a great museum with great baseball fans. .

Artemesia Publishing and I just signed a contract to have my award-winning book The Least Among Them made into an audio book. I did the recording for my novel Scattering the Ashes (and it came out great), but this time we're going with a professional who reached out to us. This is very exciting.

For years I was a "pre-published" author (a term I learned at a writer's conference). "Pre-Published" means "not published." I knew, that with hard work, focus, determination, and a positive attitude that I would eventually get published. And I was correct. The shelf in my office with my published works continues to grow.
When we believe, and have the proper work ethic, we can achieve more than we ever thought possible.

The Super Bowl this year was the Super Bore. What a bad game. The Eagles looked great. The Chiefs looked like... the Jets.

The Super Bowl commercials were mostly bad as well. I did like the Harrison Ford Jeep commercial when at the end he says, "And my last name is Ford." That was well done.

I hope the Yankees do a lot of conditioning and drilling and preparing for baseball situations. They have been weak in the area of fundamentals for years. If they are serious about winning and looking critically at their performance, this is something they will focus on in Spring Training.
