JUDGE - TORN LIGAMENT

Is this doomsday for the 2023 Yankees?

From MLBTR:

"Speaking with MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch and other reporters today, Boone said he believes Judge will be back before the end of the 2023 season, though he didn’t guarantee it. As ominous as this sounds, Boone may have been holding back on linguistic grounds (since a guarantee is “an absolute. I can’t say that about anyone.”) rather than out of genuine concern over a truly long-term injury to the reigning AL MVP. That said, it is certainly disconcerting that there’s even a slim chance Judge’s toe injury might bring a premature end to his season."

I’m depressed….. Hal had to stop counting his money to spend time with Michael Kay then bemoans the fans as over-reacting for a lack of patience. Cashman has dug himself into a hole so deep with all his bad trades over last couple of years and Boonie is leading the charge on the field without a clue…. he is trusting the process and wants the fans to do the same. The definition of stupid is doing the same things over and over and expecting different results. Following the Yankees is painful exercise these days. The nightmare continues!

Absolutely correct Cashman needs to go and Boone should follow him out the door!

Say goodnight, the 2023 party's over.

Or, to paraphrase Charlie Dressen, "The Yankees is dead."

Based on the progression of the information, I'm sure the next update will be that the toe has been amputated.

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
