New York Yankees star Juan Soto was named cover athlete of Topps 2024 Series 2, the brand’s flagship product.
Topps Series 2 will be the first time Soto is featured in a Yankees uniform in a standard full trading card set. This year’s cover image is a closeup of Soto from the waist up following a big swing, looking deep toward the outfield, watching the ball go over the fence as the lights of Yankee Stadium artfully bleed to the edge of the image. The image will be on the Topps Series 2 box and on each individual card pack in the box.
The Topps Series 2 set will include base cards, autographed cards and other special insert cards. The design for Topps Series 2 will incorporate the same stylistic elements as Topps Series 1: a neon border in team color, with a black smoke gradient and team names in upper right corner.
Topps Series 2 will be available starting June 12.
In addition to hobby shops and retail stores around the country, Topps Series 2 will also be available at www.topps.com.
