Hello, my friends. As we begin, 2025, I am hoping that in this year you each find heath, happiness, love, friendship, kindness, and understanding in every aspect of your lives. I hope 2025 is wonderful in every way for all of you.
I look forward to a great 2025 here at Start Spreading the News. Believe it or not, this all started way back in 2017. We've been around longer than Aaron Boone has been the manager of the Yankees.
This is now our 9th year! This is a labor of love, but make no mistake, this is hard work. It never ends. Each day I work diligently to make sure that we provide articles at 6:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m. at the very least. I'm proud that we've provided that reliably all this time. This doesn't happen by accident and it wouldn't be possible without our great team of writers and the support I get from Ethan behind the scenes. It's a big task. It takes great effort. But I love it - and I love the great community we have created here. Thank you to all our readers for taking this journey with us.
A few weeks ago, I decided to bring back an old feature, the SSTN Interview series. I've reached out to former "guests," and new ones, and have sent them the interview questions for them to respond to which we'll publish each Thursday at 10:00 a.m. (absent of any breaking Yankees news). The response has been overwhelmingly positive thus far. I already have the first few months of 2025 scheduled with great interviews to share.
As for the Yankees, it's been far too long since the won a World Series. I know there are many who make excuses for them, but this is becoming on of the longest periods in the team's history without a championship. See this simple list:
Longest Periods Without A World Championship (chronologically):
1903-1922: 20 years (2 World Series loses in this period)
1963-1976: 14 years (3 World Series loses in this period)
1979-1995: 17 years (1 World Series loss in this period)
2010-2024: 15 years (1 World Series loss in this period)
It is beyond time for this team to achieve baseball's ultimate team accomplishment. It's been far too long. Let's hope 2025 is that year.
Be safe. Be smart. Be kind. Give love. Find a way to bring happiness and joy to others. Make each day in 2025 great.
Happy New Year!
a Happyand Healthy 2025 for one and all.....
oh yea, a Yankees World Championship in 2025 too!
Happy new year. Hope 2025 is a great year for all.
Looking forward to a successful 2025 in the Bronx.
