I can't believe the umps started the game in freezing rain. With windchill, it feels like 32 degrees. Rodon's arms, hand and face are red from the cold. The footing on the mound is treacherous. I'm the first to blame him for pitching badly, but in these conditions, the walk and the HR were not really his fault, but the weather's.

If someone had told you on March 26 that the opening day starters for Arizona and New York would meet up a week later, and one would have a 9.00 ERA and the other a 1.69 ERA, who would have bet that Carlos Rodon would be the latter and not the former?
