CONGRATULATIONS! WE ARE NOW FANS OF THE AL EAST DIVISION WINNERS! Still unfinished business though. Magic Number is now "2" to secure "home field advantage throughout the entire post season". Although technically, it is 1, because the Yankees hold the "tie breaker".

Okay. Got it. The Yankees still control their own destiny with that one. They can either win 2 out of the 3 games against Pittsburgh, or 1 of the 3 with Cleveland losing 1 of their 3 games to the Houston Astros. Tomorrow, the Guardians are going up against a pretty good Houston pitcher in Ronel Blanco, so the Yankees have a good chance on gaining on Cleveland tomorrow.

As impressive as the 3 homers were in this game, the most impressive part was the way Anthony Rizzo came through in the clutch and broke the game wide open. If I had to pick a HITTER as the "Star Of The Game" (and not Cole), I would pick Rizzo. He was CLUTCH.

Another good choice. In a 10-1 game, there are a lot of potential Star Of The Game candidates. Stanton is very deserving.

That pick just now by Rizzo, is why he will be the starting 1B in the playoffs.
