Game 153: Yankees (89-63) vs Mariners (77-75)

Guess who's back? Stanton's back. (Sorry Eminem-- not)

Having clinched a play off spot, Boone rests Wells and Verdugo! But puts Judge in CF.

Anyone think Holmes gets to pitch in another close game?

Chisholm's BA and wRC+ as a Yankee are regressing to norm

Time for Volpe to prove he should remain with the Yankees next year.

So, that’s what a closer is supposed to do, huh?

Another winnable game lost. Indeed, New York should have been swept by Seattle but for the spectacular base-running blunders in the first two games. If the Yankees play like this, they will lose to Cleveland or Houston.

3 games, one base running blunder per game for the Mariners.

an excellent all-out effort by Soto to complete a catch

although I'm unsure whether he made a clean catch

Who was it that was advocating for Soto to run into more walls?

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.
