I am delighted that Clay Holmes was able to get a 1-2-3 inning close this time. That is what I always want to see regardless of the type of pitcher who is closing a game.

Even better. Uncharacteristic for him, but I love it, and I will take it.

Cabrera is a very likable player, easy to root for. He doesn't come close to having the talent that most of his teammates have, but he makes up for it by working hard at his craft, playing with high energy, loving what he does, being versatile, and always being ready. And he will come through at times with a big hit or even a homer on multiple occasions.

I am watching today's games on Bally Sports West channel, which is the local channel that carries just about all the Angels games.

Hopefully, Austin Wells will make him pay for that Intentional Walk to Aaron Judge. Word HAS to get around the league that teams are going to get burned when they Intentionally Walk Judge to get to Wells.

Or to get to WHOEVER is hitting behind Judge.

I hate to say this, but it appears Jazz Chisholm is no longer hitting that well any more. I don't expect him to be a "2 homer a game" player like he was in those two games in Philadelphia, but just a few singles or a double here and there would be fine. Just not a slump.

Hopefully, his former coach with the Miami Marlins who is ALSO his current coach with the Yankees, James Rowson, can straighten him out in that regard.
