ok help me out here. tigers announcers are saying that Volpe putting his foot in front of the bag is against the rules? that cannot be correct can it?
i understand if Volpe did not have the ball but he HAD THE BALL, then he put his left foot in front of the bag. why would that be illegal when the fielder has the ball?
these tigers announcers are acting like the HR pitch was a hanging change in the middle of the zone. it was not that at all. maybe not a great pitch but at least a good one, good movement down and in. hitter just did a very good job of going down to get it and hitting it very hard
