BREAKING: Soto to NYM, 15/$765M

Juan Soto is now a New York Met on a 15/$765M contract. Yankees best offer was 16/$760M. I'm numb. Tweets inside.

Welcome to the wilderness. In typical Cashman style he waited and waited and waited. Now that Soto is gone anyone Cashman will want to trade with will want Jason Dominguez just as a starter. So now we have first base, second base, third base, and two outfield positions unsettled.

He really was all about the money and nothing but the money.

Time to move on. No tears shed.

That’s baseball, Susan.

"Within the last few hours, the Yanks grew pessimistic about getting Soto. Now they move on to Plan B."

Plan B went to the Giants and the Dodgers while the Yankees were twiddling their thumbs waiting for Soto. Can't wait to watch the 2014 Yanks again in 2025.

Andy I also fear a return to 2014. I don't care about Adames signing with the Giants he's not a solution. Snell I would have liked but get at least one of Burnes or Fried and I'm OK. I fully agree with you on Vladdie and Bichette. Does Toronto want to trade within the division? Get the horse's head ready Cash. I doubt that the Yankees have enough to get both of those guys and the Martian is likely gone in even one of those scenarios which means now two OF spots need to be filled. It will be a game of whack-a-mole trying to plug all of the Yankees' holes. I really, really don't like Bellinger but I'd be…

The Yankees did what the Nationals did, so of course he turned them down.

I always said it was about the AAV. Mets was at $51M, Yankees at $47.5M.

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
