Earlier today, the New York Yankees announced that they are exercising their 2025 option to keep Aaron Boone as the manager. Tweets inside.

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.
Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."

there is ONE WAY i can see this as good. the day Soto signs his Yankee contract, he says he wanted to play for Boone. other than that this is the first domino on the stupidity train and i fear that train will one day in the near future include an announcement that we made a good offer but Soto went a different direction
man oh man do I hope that is wrong!!!!! if Hal does not sign Soto I really hope Georges ghost tortures him for the remainder of his cowardly life
I'm not surprised by this at all. Cashman was saying all these complimentary things about Boone all week. I'm actually less concerned about this and more worried about Soto signing with the Mets, and rumors of Yanks signing Christian Walker (34 yrs old) to play 1B.
After Cashman's remarks earlier this week at the GM Meetings, is anyone really surprised?
As I keep saying, Boone does whatever Cashman wants, so why wouldn't Cashman keep him?
This is not a baseball decision in keeping Boone. Heck, hiring him was never a baseball- first decision.
Uggggg
Well at least they didn't extend him - yet.
