2022 Minor League Statistics: Mid-June Update

James Vlietstra provides us with a mid-June statistical update for the 2022 Yankees minor league affiliates standings and player statistics!

Here’s the top performing Yankees minor leaguers. As you can see, the only affiliate having a relatively good season is the AA Somerset Patriots.



Some of the leaders include Oliver Dunn, Anthony Seigler, Austin Wells, and a surging Jasson Dominguez on the offensive side.


Pitchers who have excelled to this point include Ken Waldichuk, Carson Coleman, and Jhony Brito.

Taillon is going to be in line for a huge paycheck after this year. I can see Waldichuk taking his spot. Between now and then, he could be a boost of energy down the stretch, sure why not.

As far as Wells, the Yankees keep putting him at Catcher even though all the prospect evaluators say he’s eventually going to be moved. I have to believe that they know what he’s capable of.

Seigler and Wells should both be getting promoted in the next month or so, putting them that much closer to the Bronx. I have been very impressed with Trevino but Higashioka is replaceable.
