Tony Lazzeri attended the same high school as Joe DiMaggio. A famous athlete of a less sterling reputation who graduated from that school is OJ Simpson. The current mayor of San Francisco is also an alum. The school is called Galileo, but known by pretty much everybody as simply Gal.

That Combs picture is one of my favorite. He definitely should be in Monument Park.

I‘m a big Charlie Keller fan for the Park. What a great player he was before an age-30 back injury took away his power. A consistent 6-WAR per year player beforehand. Great postseason performer too.

Earl Combs should be in Monument Park. I really like Graig Nettles, he was my favorite Yankee as a kid, but he played only half of his career as a Yankee. I have a soft spot for Tommy Henrich, but he was never dominant. ARod and Cano made their own beds. The rest were great Yankees, but not quite good enough for enshrinement in Monument Park.

Being present is a skill and White worked hard to always be in shape.

His WAR, as much as you would like to diminish it is better than all but 10 players in the history of the Yankees franchise. That is more than impressive.
