The Old Timers' Day roster has been announced

[Things were so busy around here yesterday that we forgot to post something about this. Sorry!] The 69th annual Old Timers' Day is scheduled for Saturday, June 20 and just like last year, the Yankees will be honoring a player from the late 70s/early 80s with ceremony and a plaque in Monument Park. Last year, Goose Gossage was the recipient and this year, it's Willie Randolph!

Over 50 ex-players will be in attendance for the day's festivities and here is that list:

Jesse Barfield Yogi Berra Ron Blomberg Brian Boehringer Wade Boggs Scott Bradley Scott Brosius Dr. Bobby Brown Homer Bush Chris Chambliss Jim Coates David Cone Johnny Damon Bucky Dent Al Downing Brian Doyle Cecil Fielder John Flaherty Whitey Ford Oscar Gamble Joe Girardi Rich "Goose" Gossage Ken Griffey Sr. Ron Guidry Charlie Hayes Rickey Henderson Arlene Howard (Widow) Helen Hunter (Widow) Reggie Jackson Scott Kamieniecki Pat Kelly Don Larsen Jim Leyritz Graeme Lloyd Hector Lopez Jill Martin (Widow) Lee Mazzilli Stump Merrill Gene "Stick" Michael Gene Monahan (Trainer) Diana Munson (Widow) Kay Murcer (Widow) Jeff Nelson Paul O'Neill Dan Pasqua Joe Pepitone Andy Phillips Lou Piniella Willie Randolph Bobby Richardson Mickey Rivers Mel Stottlemyre Tanyon Sturtze Joe Torre Roy White Bernie Williams

I don't know about you guys, but I am pretty stoked about Dan Pasqua being there. I remember his 1986 numbers.

Back in the old Stadium, I sat in front of the same group of guys for nearly 10 years, and they always used to tease me whenever Don Mattingly would be at Old Timers' Day because I'd legitimately flip out when his name was announced. I miss the days when I had my partial season tickets and Old Timers' Day was included in the package. But I am planning on attending Old Timers' Day for the 17th year in a row even though I abandoned my ticket plan before the 2014 season because it's the one attendance streak I still have intact and it's the one that I really don't want to break.

And if you are looking for something more substantial to read this morning, here's what I wrote about my 15th Old Timers' Day in 2013.

Enjoy your morning!
