Tanaka looks sharp in Yankees win over the Braves

Here's some video of Masahiro Tanaka's outing this afternoon in Tampa:

Tanaka was impressive in his 4.1 innings of work. He struck out six Braves and left the game with a 1-0 lead in the fifth. The Braves tied it, then went ahead as soon as Tanaka left but the Yankees exploded for six runs in the bottom of the sixth. Brian McCann hit a two-run double to right. Roman Flores followed that up with a single to score Kyle Roller, who was pinch-running for McCann, and Anthony Varvaro's wild pitch allowed Kelly Johnson to score. Mason Williams hit a sac fly to score Flores and the Braves committed two errors that allowed Pete O'Brien to score as well.

The big news of the day from Tampa was Jacoby Ellsbury being scratched from the lineup with tightness in his right calf. Ichiro Suzuki was inserted into the lineup in the leadoff spot and he hit an RBI single to right field off Julio Teheran in the second to score Flores.

Tomorrow, Hiroki Kuroda makes his fourth appearance of the Spring. Hopefully it will be better than his last start in which he allowed six earned runs on 10 hits over 3 2/3 innings on Wednesday against the Tigers.
